Terms of Service

Last updated: December 30, 2025

1. Overview

Leavenworth Laser Company LLC provides custom engraving services designed to bring each client’s vision to life. However, due to variations in materials, finishes, and design interpretation, engraving outcomes may differ from proofs, samples, or past work.

Laser engraving involves numerous variables — including substrate density, coating, and surface irregularities — that can alter color, engraving depth, or finish. By ordering with us, clients acknowledge that engraving is an artisanal process rather than an exact or purely mechanical one.

2. Custom Work Disclaimer

All engraving performed by Leavenworth Laser Company LLC is custom work created according to the client’s specifications. Because of this, all custom orders are final and non‑refundable once production has begun.

Refunds, exchanges, or re‑engravings will not be issued for:

  • Subjective dissatisfaction with tone, color, or engraving depth;
  • Natural material variation between products;
  • Errors, spelling mistakes, or formatting issues in client‑supplied artwork;
  • Minor deviation between proof and final product appearance;
  • Slight alignment or tonal differences within standard engraving tolerances.

Clients bear full responsibility for reviewing and approving digital proofs before engraving begins.

3. Material & Substrate Disclaimer

Engraving interacts differently with every material. Even pieces from the same production batch may respond differently due to:

  • Grain, coating, or resin inconsistencies;
  • Surface finish or chemical composition differences;
  • Temperature, humidity, or handling history.

Such variations may alter engraving color or texture. Leavenworth Laser Company LLC shall not be held liable for these naturally occurring outcomes.

4. Artistic Judgment & Interpretation

Engraving technicians use artistic discretion to achieve the most visually pleasing outcome possible within each project’s limitations. Digital renderings and mockups are visual approximations only — not contractual guarantees.

By commissioning work, clients authorize Leavenworth Laser Company LLC to make reasonable artistic adjustments required by the material or equipment used.

5. Limitation of Liability

Leavenworth Laser Company LLC, its employees, and its affiliates shall not be responsible for:

  • Aesthetic differences due to material variability;
  • Loss of profit, opportunity, emotional distress, or consequential damages;
  • Damage occurring during third‑party shipping or handling;
  • Claims exceeding the total paid amount for engraving services rendered.

If an issue arises from demonstrable negligence by Leavenworth Laser Company LLC (and not material variability or client error), the company’s sole remedy will be limited to re‑engraving or partial refund of the engraving cost.

6. False Advertising & Representation Disclaimer

All portfolio images, display samples, social‑media posts, or marketing materials are illustrative and represent the general quality of past results, not a guarantee of future results.

Because each material reacts differently, the company expressly disclaims any and all liability for false advertising claims based on reasonable artistic or material‑based deviations between promotional examples and delivered goods.

7. Customer‑Supplied Materials

When clients bring or ship in personal items for engraving:

  • The client assumes full responsibility for possible breakage, warping, scorching, or discoloration;
  • Leavenworth Laser Company LLC makes no warranty that an item is suitable for engraving or will survive the process unaltered;
  • In the event of damage, the company’s liability shall not exceed the engraving fee, not the replacement cost of the item.

Clients are strongly encouraged to bring extras if items are irreplaceable.

8. Approval Process

Production begins after written approval (via signature or email confirmation). Once approved, proofs and specifications become final; any subsequent change is subject to additional fees and scheduling delays.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising under them shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Kansas. Venue and jurisdiction shall reside exclusively in the District Court of Leavenworth County, Kansas (City of Leavenworth).

10. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing or commissioning any product or service from Leavenworth Laser Company LLC, the client affirms full understanding and agreement to this Terms of Service & Liability Policy.

No verbal promise or representation made by any employee or agent supersedes these written terms.
